The breeder worries 365 days in the year about its animals! Neither costs nor troubles been afraid to create an almost perfect surrounding field around the animals ! To a TOP health the whole year is paid attention! At races only absolutely recover and trained animals take part! No animals are set on distances, which them because of experience, fitness or age lacking, without problems to master to be able! The speed is determined by the animals themselves! If there disturbances/problems on the distance, the animals are possible to survive days/weeks (or even months) in free nature! In order to reach afterwards still the home! A healthy letter-pigeon at the age of 20 weeks put back voluntarily distances of several hundred kilometres by the home from curiosity!

Breeders can only participate races with their animals, if they submit a certificate of veterinary with a negative result of a parasitologi and bakteriologi investigation of the pigeon excrement! Additional it is to be inoculated necessarily all animals annually against diseases such as Paramyxo and smallpox! The certificate of inoculation of a veterinary before beginning of the travel season is necessary also here! Many breeders are inoculated additionally (however voluntarily) the animals against Paratyphus!

Races are started only by experienced and certified flight controllers! These flight controllers observe the weather conditions at the home, on the entire distance and at the leaving open place, the whole week! The federation of German letter pigeon lovers co-operates with different weather services and delivers daily (on weekend several times per hour) new leaving open recommendation for the flight controllers! For possible problems with the weather conditions, flights are accordingly shortened, shifted or called off completely!

Transport: The pigeons are driven only in special transporters (cab express) to the leaving open place! Into this transporter the animals have sufficiently place and light! The ventilation is electronically regular! In these vehicles the animals can be naturally fed and soaked! Only experienced drivers are used! They are located in the constant contact with the controller!

A general problem for the letter pigeon sport is the strongly growing population of grab birds (sperber, falcon, bussharde etc.). Thereby losses develop, and make in some areas nearly not possibly to hold pigeons! The letter pigeon sport described on this homepage is not to be confounded, with the One LOFT Races! Wich at present frequently the mentioned in the press! These meetings are increase world-wide rapidly and they are not to exclude from the letter pigeon sport any more! The organizers of these races have to fight with a few problems:

A high infection by the large number of pigeon from many differently lofts within one plant! That often hundreds of spectators to a fixed date a flight from a certain distance expect! The organizers advised now into a situation with hohm pressure, and often they strat the races in bad weather!
